The Thin Man 1934

This six-part series stars WilliamPowell and Myrna Loy at their absolute best! Of course I'll be reviewing the first "Thin Man" film, which is a great screwball comedy. Powell and Loy play Nick and Nora, a married couple who come to New York only to be is the midst of a murder mystery. Nick, a retired detective and a boozer, decides to take on the case. There are bumps along the way, of course, and full of fun and laughs. This is definitely not as serious and dramatic as the two previous films I reviewed, but who wants to be serious all the time?!

I love the chemistry between Powell and Loy. They play off each other's humor, which is so fun to watch. Despite the laughs, it's quite an enjoyable murder mystery with a surprising ending. So, that's another review for you all, and I hope you get a chance to watch it!
